Practical information

Keys: When you checked in, you received an apartment key, a safe key (if your apartment has a safe), and a master key (KABA 8 with a green ring or plate, for the gates on the garden path to Ascona, the exit to the lakeside road, access to the swimming area, and the household waste container; see below). If needed, we’ll be happy to provide you with a second set of keys. Some apartment doors have a special security system that requires you to first pull the door handle up before you can lock the door.

Awnings/Umbrellas: You’ll find awnings and/or umbrellas on the terraces of our apartments to provide shade. To protect them from damage caused by sudden gusts of wind, please close them when you leave your apartment.

Internet: We have set up the "Casa-Wuelfingen Guest" network for your internet access. Please log in with the password (see welcome letter) and accept the terms of use.

Phone: You can receive calls in your apartment using the number displayed on the phone. Alternatively, you can use the main Casa Wülfingen number (+41 91 785 1820) to request a callback. We will inform you of any calls or forward messages as soon as possible. From your phone, you can call reception (840) and make calls within Switzerland (excluding premium-rate service numbers).

TV: Our televisions receive all major TV and radio channels via satellite. When watching TV or listening to satellite radio on your TV, please be considerate of other guests who are seeking quiet.

Dishwasher: Please use only standard dishwasher detergent. Small containers of dishwasher tablets are available if needed. Please call! Due to our soft water, the use of salt is not necessary; you can ignore the dishwasher's warning light!

Oven: Please use the baking paper provided in the kitchen when using the oven.

Washing machine/dryer: If you'd like to do your own laundry, our guest washing machine and dryer in the villa are available for your use. You can get the key upon request. The cost per wash/dry cycle is CHF 5.00, including detergent.

Iron and ironing board: An ironing board and iron are available for your use in the laundry room in the villa.

Small Appliances: We have a variety of small appliances (including Bialetti, toasters, fondue sets, hair dryers, food processors for whipping cream or mixing dough, etc.) that we’d be happy to provide if needed.

Broken dishes and damages: If a plate or glass breaks, or any other piece of furniture is damaged, please let us know. We will charge the replacement cost and, if necessary, issue a certificate for your liability insurance.

Zwischenreinigung: Upon request, one of our staff members can come to clean your room during your stay; you will be charged for the interim cleaning service.

Suggestions for improvement: If there is anything in your apartment that you think could be improved or needs to be repaired, please let us know so we can take care of it.

Activities, Events: The latest issue of Ticino Top 10 is available in your apartment. This information is also available online at www.ticinotopten.ch. In the display case next to the intercom, you’ll find a selection of current events and excursion options. Further information and assistance with reservations, etc., are available upon request. The myAsconaLocarnoApp offers discounts on a range of tourist attractions. If you have any questions, please contact the tourist office (Viale Papio 5, across from the Otello Cinema) or visit the website www.ascona-locarno.com.

How to Reach Me: I am available by phone Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. You can reach me via the internal extension 840 or externally at +41 91 785 1820. During these hours, you can also ring the intercom in the entrance area. For emergencies outside these hours, please contact me via WhatsApp at +41 79 923 7788 or refer to our list of emergency numbers.

Fire Safety: In accordance with recommendations for vacation rentals, you will find a red fire blanket in every kitchen (in a compartment in the upper cabinets). In the entryways to several apartments (Terrazza Levante, Nido di Cicogna, Terrazza Ponente, and Isabella, Südzimmer), the exterior doors have a knob on the inside that allows you to open the door without a key if it is locked. There is also a fire extinguisher in each of these areas.

Swimming: Our rock bathing area (plus raft) by the lake is available for swimmers. It is unsupervised; use is at your own risk. Please take particular care when walking on the rocks, which are occasionally covered by water, as they can be very slippery.

For those interested, two stand-up paddleboards (red, blue, marked ‘CW’) are available on the level above the swimming dock. Please return them to their original location after use. Please store your own SUPs in such a way that they do not obstruct other bathers or pose a risk of damage. When transporting SUPs to and from the intermediate level, please ensure you keep them on the right-hand side when going down and on the left-hand side when going up, and hold onto the handrail (on the left when going down, on the right when going up)!

If required, access authorisation to the parkings above the bathing area is available.

Please do not use the stairlift on the way to the swimming area!

It is privately owned by the neighboring homeowners and has blocked the staircase several times in the past.

Please report any obstructions caused by the elevator or malfunctions immediately.
